HEB Thanksgiving Day Parade Details: HEB Thanksgiving Day Parade: See which streets will be closed

Several streets in downtown Houston are expected to be closed Thursday morning for the HEB Thanksgiving Day Parade. Closures begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday. And for some streets, this closure will last until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, as from 9:00 a.m. the floats and stages are loaded for the parade.


Parade rehearsal/production/load-in

  • The east curb between Dallas and Lamar on the Louisiana ST from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on 11/24.
  • All lanes between Walker & Lamar on Smith ST from 1:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m
  • All lanes between Dallas and Lamar on Brazos ST at 6:00 p.m. East Curb Lane remain open.
  • All lanes between Rusk & Lamar on Smith ST from 6:00 p.m. to 11/24. at 3:00 p.m
  • All lanes between Louisiana and Bagby on Lamar ST at 6:00 p.m
  • All lanes between Louisiana and Bagby on Walker ST at 6:00 p.m


  • Resolution/performance of the parade on Thursday, November 24 between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m
  • The incoming Allen Parkway between Bagby & Taft
  • The northbound bagby between McKinney and Dallas
  • The southbound Bagby between Clay & Walker
  • At the I-45 overpass between Allen Parkway and Louisiana on Lamar St.
